KOEH 108.3 FM
Dipperville lies in the hill country of SE Minnesota
deep in the heart of frack sand country
and 10 miles from Hoopdeville.
The town lies in a hollow on the banks of Dipper Creek
and all external FM radio and TV signals pass overhead
unheard and unseen.
Twenty years ago,
the Dipperkripp family
came to the rescue
with a license to launch the town's first
and, to-date, only radio station,
KOEH 108.3FM.
The rest is history.
or is it?
"The rest is history" is what media people and
philosophers say but, we, the townsfolk of Dipperville say
history is for idle talk at the Dairy Queen.
We like to think that the proper phrase is...
the rest is imagination.
Uff da!

shamrock in pintFor years, St. Patrick's Day has been celebrated in the Scandinavian-settled Dipperville on March 17th (not on the Saturday before or after). For years, the town has had to close down for a week after the parade to rebuild. This year, the Chief had a sudden rush of blood to the head and decided to invite all the Irish and Irish wanna-be's in town to the basement of the Dog Eat Dog saloon for a whiskey tasting event on the day before the parade. Once all the troublemakers were inside busily tasting, the doors were locked and, as of this broadcast, they are still in there and will not be released until noon today, the day after the parade. Of course, with the parade participants all locked up, there was no parade - unless you count Sister Sally and the girls on the Silverado flatbed.

Suddenly, this morning, a stranger appears on the street outside the Dog Eat Dog. Carrying a set of uilleann pipes, he announces to the curious Chief that he has been called - called by decades of baleful ballading, pleading for him to come back. Against the protests of the Chief (dulled by the application of a shillelagh on his Norwegian sconce), the stranger enters the basement of the Dog Eat Dog.

"Ah, 'tis the Saint himself!" cries the Mayor.

"The name is Boy, Danny Boy," replies the stranger.

"Ah, sure you'll be playing a wee song on them pipes, so you will," says two or more bodies on the floor.

Mr. Boy Returns features Jamel S. Anderson, Elena Erofeeva, Michael Fischbein, Mark Greenberg, Tom Klein, Margot Koefod, Kirk Mattson, David O'Sullivan, and Becky Warren.

With Becky Warren (solo) and Tom Klein (uilleann pipes).

Theme music by P.M. O’Sullivan. Written and directed by David O’Sullivan.
