KOEH 108.3 FM
Dipperville lies in the hill country of SE Minnesota
deep in the heart of frack sand country
and 10 miles from Hoopdeville.
The town lies in a hollow on the banks of Dipper Creek
and all external FM radio and TV signals pass overhead
unheard and unseen.
Twenty years ago,
the Dipperkripp family
came to the rescue
with a license to launch the town's first
and, to-date, only radio station,
KOEH 108.3FM.
The rest is history.
or is it?
"The rest is history" is what media people and
philosophers say but, we, the townsfolk of Dipperville say
history is for idle talk at the Dairy Queen.
We like to think that the proper phrase is...
the rest is imagination.
Uff da!

Reports are coming in of a mass evacuation of Dipperville by its citizens for no apparent reason. All signs of life have been absent from the town - more absent than normal - for over five days. The main frack sand hauler at the Hoopdeville mine, Bob Brakeman a Dipperville resident, is missing and his drivers are idle at the mine awaiting instructions.

The cause of the evacuation is still a mystery.  Initial reports said that the mass evacuation was triggered by a comment of a politically correct nature made on the town's radio station, KOEH, by a new resident in town who had not been through the PC debriefing and desensitization program. That report was quickly refuted when it was discovered that the PC detectors on all roads into town were operating normally.

Sporadic radio reception is being picked up by Hoopdeville residents that sound suspiciously like KOEH host Milli Cent but it has proven impossible to decipher her message.

The Hoopdeville Herald will keep you informed on the latest developments in this ongoing mystery. In the meantime, the Hoopdeville Knights of the Rigged Table are organizing a looting party to Dipperville. Buses will leave from outside the Stocks and Pillory bar at 07:00 tomorrow morning. Bring your own bags.

In cooperation with the Dipperville weekly, The Star Trombone, we publish here selected news stories which tickle our fancy and drive (or should drive) the shows. However, there is a problem: the Star Trombone's news is always old and we need to know what will happen almost before it happens. So mostly we just make it up and hope for the best. We attribute our stories to no one, charge no aggregation fees, and encourage their distribution across the world wide web so that confusion may reign and truth shine through (Fingers, please untangle this and then post).
