Reports are coming in of a mass evacuation of Dipperville by its citizens for no apparent reason. All signs of life have been absent from the town - more absent than normal - for over five days. The main frack sand hauler at the Hoopdeville mine, Bob Brakeman a Dipperville resident, is missing and his drivers are idle at the mine awaiting instructions.
The cause of the evacuation is still a mystery. Initial reports said that the mass evacuation was triggered by a comment of a politically correct nature made on the town's radio station, KOEH, by a new resident in town who had not been through the PC debriefing and desensitization program. That report was quickly refuted when it was discovered that the PC detectors on all roads into town were operating normally.
Harvey Smottle here. On December 30th, one day before the New Year, an alien spacecraft arrived over Dipperville. It was lauded as the long-expected rapture ship that failed to show up on five previous occasions. Related report. People were starting to wonder about how genuine Pastor deGoat's divine connections were. Arriving one day ahead of schedule, the ship's commander welcomed everyone in town aboard (everyone except me-I hate flying) and took off.
Since then I have been alone.
Chief Monday conducts "Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, and Semi-Automatic Training for Beginners" every Tuesday in the back room of the Dog Eat Dog saloon. Class is cancelled in the event of rain - the ceiling is only partially repaired.
The special classes for the hard of hearing will continue via megaphone after the beginner's class.
Call Chief Monday at the Dipperville PD office for details and to sign up. Cost is free but participants must sign a waiver releasing the Dipperville PD and the Mayor from any culpability in case of injury or death before, during, and especially after each class.
Overseas listeners are taking drastic action to improve KOEH reception. We received this photograph from, Dryden, who listens on the web from his home in Northamptonshire in the UK. The photograph shows some of his neighbors (neighbours over there) erecting a mast to improve FM reception from Dipperville.
